Great Steeping Primary School

Your feedback on our website would be greatly appreciated. Here is some feedback received from other visitors.

Thank you again for inviting me to your school to perform the Forgotten Teddy Bear Show. It was a real joy to meet Class1 and see all their very cool Teddy Bears. I was really surprised when they took over my magic tricks and made Teddy Bear cards appear, coloured in animal pictures with funny colours making blue bears and purple elephants all by magic trick power of hugging their teddy bears! However, I really like when they used their magic trick power to help me put the hug back into my Ted , who previously lost his hug. Thank the children for that one.

So glad they love teddy bears like me and I hope they will join me, the magic binman in keeping the school tidy and throwing all their rubbish in the bin. Oh yeah and they brush their teeth properly every day. They will know what this means.

Kind Regards,

Joe The Magic Binman

Monday 12th June marked the end of my coaching with Skegness Academy and also my last visit to Great Steeping Primary School, where I have been taking cricket sessions since Easter. Going into different schools doing a variety of sports offers many challenges, size of classes, ability, age of children, behaviour and support in terms of staffing, facilities and equipment.
As a relatively small school Great Steeping has its own challenges, but on arriving there for the first time, a warm welcome awaited me from Mrs Ackrill (who I knew from a previous school some years before). I believe you can always judge how your coaching is received by how quickly a session seems to go and the response of the children. It is also important that you enjoy the session and get a positive interaction with the children.
It has been a pleasure to be able to deliver different sports at the school and to get such a positive response from all the children regardless of ability. This is helped in no small part by a very supportive staff who show an enthusiasm to see the children achieving.
My journey home on Monday was filled with a certain sadness but it was tempered with the thanks I received from the children.

Had such a fantastic time at the schools harvest festival!! It was lovely to see all the nice smiley faces again :) Can't wait for the next event where I will be able to see my friends and past teachers.
Lots of good wishes,
